An important area of activity of the League of Professional Women (hereinafter - the LPW) is analytical research and policy advocacy in priority topics at the national (Ukraine), regional (Europe) and international levels.

Experts of the NGO “League of Professional Women have  strong experience in conducting analytical research and advocacy work within the framework of grant project activities, some examples are given below.

Project 1. October 2022- January 2023.

LPW presents outcomes of the project “Recovering Capacity of Ukrainian Women Network for Advocacy & Analytics Activities” (October 2022-January 2023) implemented by the NGO “League of Professional Women” with the financial support of the EaP CSF Re-granting Scheme, which is funded by the European Union. Our team has compiled the practice advocacy guide that discusses the ways citizens can get involved in policy-making in the spheres of the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), Adult Learning and Education (ALE), Women’s Empowerment, and European Integration.

The advocacy guide will help the representatives of civil society organizations, local communities, education professionals, researchers, and independent experts involved in the spheres of SDG, ALE, Women’s Empowerment, and European Integration, who are interested in advocacy activities. The guide will also be useful to civil experts that focus on relations between citizens and state institutions.

Project 2. May-July 2022,

Project focuses on Analysis of Corporate Social Responsibilities Issues founded by Joint Excellence in Science and Humanities Program from Austrian Academy of Sciences. Project team members (Dr. Lazorenko O., Prof. Chala N.)  worked as guest researchers at the University of Applied Sciences Salzburg (FH Salzburg on base of individual scholarships) in Salzburg, Austria.

Project 3. February 2020- March 2021,

National: “Women`s Learning Needs Analysis in Ukraine” project with the support of the CIVICUS Solidarity Fund.

Project outcome was online and print publication in Ukrainian with Executive summary in English. Project 4. November 2020 – February 2021,

Project 5. June-October 2019,

Transnational:  Co-author of the “National Parallel Report Ukraine 2014- 2019 on Beijing +25 years”. In the same time period provided inputs for 2019 WMG Position Paper, p.9,10,23,25,30,31\\ Women’s Major Group 2019 High Level Political Forum Position Paper “Empowering people and ensuring inclusiveness and equality”.1 April 2019. Planned presentation at USA under UN Commission on the Status of Women in 2020 (closed by COVID-19). Advocacy activates support by Friedrich Ebert Foundation Office in Ukraine.

Project 6. April-September 2018,

National: Analytic project “Analysis of Adult Learning Policy in Ukraine” conducted with the support of the EU and the International Renaissance Foundation within the framework of the Civic Synergy Project. Outcome: policy report on "What Should Be the Adult Learning Policy in Ukraine?” by Dr. Olena Lazorenko (with co-author) in Ukrainian;

Workshop “Adult Learning Policy as Pathway to Implement European Integration of Ukraine & SDG #4”. November 2018-March 2019 Olena Lazorenko served as Adviser for the Ministry of Education and Science of Ukraine on the draft Law of Ukraine “On Adult Education in Ukraine” with support of the Civic Synergy Project of the Renessans Foundation and funded by EU.
