Authors: Dr. Olena Lazorenko (Editor-in-Chief), Prof. Nina Chala, Prof.Olga Gomilko, Dr. Alla Kozhyna
Abstract
The Report in Ukrainian with Executive Summary in English provides an analysis of the learning and service needs of women in Ukraine from the target groups of the project, as well as a description of barriers to their access to adult learning and education (ALE). A separate section takes into account the recommendations and features of the situation in the field of ALE under the influence of the COVID-19 pandemic in Ukraine and the world. The Report is prepared based on the results of our own qualitative research, a nationwide sociological survey commissioned in the perspective of ALE, analysis of government documents and state statistics, a significant array of international data. The structure of the Report consists of 4 blocks: the current state of art of ALE services by women; skills and knowledge relevant to the modern world and labor market; access barriers and forms of support for ALE in the country.
The main target audience of the brochure are the providers of adult learning services, policy makers at the national and local levels in Ukraine. The publication will also be useful for interested representatives of civil society, educational and research institutions and all those who are interested in this topic.
The analytical report was prepared and published online within the framework of the Women`s Learning Needs Analysis in Ukraine project, conducted by the NGO “League of Professional Women” with the support of the CIVICUS Solidarity Fund.
