About LPW
NGO “League of Professional Women” (LPW) unite since 1997 different people for the common goal of expanding the social & economic opportunities of women in Ukraine.
Our mission is promoting the active role of women in the economic and society's life of Ukraine, through learning and professional development; advocacy and networking; informational & cultural support.
LPW is based in Ukraine and has members across the country from science, education, business and public spheres.
There are four main areas of LPW`s activities:
(1) advocacy & research;
(2) adult learning;
(3) women`s career development and
(4) organize and promote “Creative Social Actions” (CSA).
LPW has membership: Ukrainian side of the EU-Ukraine Civil Society Platform;Ukrainian National Platform of the Eastern Partnership Civil Society Forum (EaP CSF), Women's Major Group (WMG), UN Global Compact, Platform for “Equal rights and opportunity”, CIVICUS, ITC SheTrade Global, OGP Civil Society Community and other organizations.

LPW On-going activities:
Our 2018-year activities of the League of Professional Women`s leading multi-stakeholder initiative "Partnership on Adult Learning” were approved as "Good Practice on SDGs" by UN DESA in 2019\20 years. It's called "National Advocacy in Promoting Adult Learning Policy in Ukraine".

The Femaile Entrepreneurial and Intellectyal Community by LPW (Community)
The Community vision is the development of entrepreneurial skills of women and propose intellectual patronage for business in Ukraine. Currently, Community is operated as an internal LPW program and funded by LPW membership fees and occasional donations. LPW`s Community hosted a pilot 2019 women mentoring project in Kyiv, Ukraine with support of the CIVICUS and participants fees for the Phase 2 Walk& Talk mentoring project. Community`s communication channels are Facebook Group WE & Google`s tools (Group ListServ. LPW BusInfo-L” ), FB group: Women Entrepreneurship (WE) (FB group only for LPW`s members & advicers). LPW`s List Serve “LPW BusInfo-L”- electronic moderated dissemination announcements and information on individual travel grants, fellowships, scholarships, trainings, internships, ToRs for research, vacancies, business meetings, legal info etc. from other organizations to our network members. “LPW BusInfo-L” focuses on professional women learning and career`s needs.
Backgraund of the Communty was “Initiative Group on Supporting Women Entrepreneurship” (LPW IG SWE, administrated by LPW in 2013-2017). 2016 Position paper on Women Economic Empowerment in Ukraine (presented by LPW representative to NGOs component under the 60 session of the Commission on the Status of Women (CSW) in 2016).
