The Project "Recovering Capacity of Ukrainian Women Network for Advocacy & Analytics Activities"

The 4-month project of the League of Professional Women (abbreviated as the LPW) "Recovering capacity" received support in mid-October 2022 through the regranting scheme of the Civil Society Forum of the Eastern Partnership (CSF EaP) and continues until January 30, 2023. The project is focused on recovering the capacity of the Ukrainian women's network, which has 25 years of activity in analytics and advocacy at the national and international levels, empowerment of women and networking.

The analytical and advocacy activities of the LPW focus on four main areas:

(a) Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs);

(b) Adult Learning and Education  (ALE);

(c) Women`s emprowement ;

(d) European integration.

Representatives of the LPW ( member of Working Group 4, "Contacts between people" of the Ukrainian National Platform of the CSF EaP) work professionally in science, education, business and the public sphere and are currently suffering from the consequences of Russia's full-scale war against Ukraine. The project aims to help them recovering their capacity for analytical and advocacy activities at the national and international levels.

Recreation of the LPW's mobile office

After the full-scale Russian invasion of Ukraine started, the LPW closed its office and tried to redeploy equipment and personnel. Now, considering the new circumstances, the LPW will restore its mobile office and partly, technical capabilities.

Capacity development for advocacy activities of public experts

First, our leader, Olena Lazorenko, prepared an electronic edition of the Advocacy Guide. It is designed to help public experts to organize dialogue with government institutions and strengthen their influence on decision-making in Ukraine. The Guide includes helpful information for civil society organizations and practical cases in the following areas: sustainable development goals, adult learning and education, women's empowerment and European integration.

Second, the Guide published in electronic format and made public on the sub-page LPW web and publishing house in January 2023.

Thirdly, we disseminated information about this Guide and its practical cases among interested parties (including WG4 UNP SCF EaP and WG 6 US PCS) through e-mailing and conducting events in hybrid formats (synchronous and asynchronous) in January 2023.

Each case author will prepare a video presentation that posted on the LPW's YouTube channel.
