The twenty-fifth day of the heroic confrontation of Ukrainian army and people against the Russian full-scale military invasion and the 8th year of the Russian war against our country is underway.
During the period from February 24, 2022 to the present, according to the Office of the Prosecutor General, 115 children were killed and 140 children were injured. 3,389,044 people are forced to seek refuge outside Ukraine, most of them women and children. Hundreds of thousands of Ukrainians are in urgent need of evacuation from areas where the humanitarian situation is catastrophic now.
In front of Russian aggression, Ukrainian society demonstrates heroic resistance and solidarity in resisting aggression.
NGO "League of Professional Women" (LPW) receives letters of support from the international civil society and in its activities has focused on:
(1) Informing the world community about the full-scale Russian invasion of Ukraine. On March 8, 2022, LPW President Olena Lazorenko spoke during the online event International Women’s Day 2022: War Heroines of Ukraine.Dedicated to the Bravery, Resilience and Strength of the Women in Ukraine.
(2) Assistance in organizing humanitarian aid to the needy. Currently, our LPW members take care of a number of charitable institutions in Fastiv (Kyiv region), Ruzhiv (Zhytomyr region) and Kharkiv. If you have the opportunity to help in their activities, contact directly to:
