Dr. Olena Lazorenko is Ukrainian social researcher, trainer, facilitator & civil society organizations leader and now holds the positions of the Senior Researcher at Institute of Philosophy of the National Academy of Sciences of Ukraine & President of Ukrainian NGO “League of Professional Women” (LPW).

In the beginning full-scale Russia war agains Ukraine, she evacuated from Ukraine to the EU (Austria) in March 2022 and came back to Kyiv in October 2022.

Olena is LPW`s representative in the EaP Civil Society Forum, CIVICUS, Women`s Major Group , UN Global Compact, EU-Ukraine Civil Society Platform, etc. In addition, she founded and managed a service on academic entrepreneurship for 16 years, which was sold to new owners in the spring 2017.

Olena has six training of trainer’s certifications from ERASMUS+ (EU, 2021 online), University of Tennessee (USA, 2020 online), British Council (Ukraine, 2016), ILO Project (Ukraine, 2010), Institute of Banking Education (Slovakia, 2002), Lovanium International Management Centre (Belgium, 1996).

Her main Grants: 1996 FSA Contemporary Issues Program (IREX Scholar, USA) & 2006 Fortune/State Department Women Mentorship Program (USA), several short terms grant fellowships in the EU member-states in 1995-2018 (Germany, UK, Belgium, Austria, Slovakia, Poland). 2019 Scholar in the UNESCO Institute for Lifelong Learning (UIL), Germany, 1997 & 2022 Salzburg Seminar Global Fellow; 2022 JESH Fellow Researcher at FH Salzburg funded by Austrian Academy of Sciences (May-July 2022); 2023 EU4BCC Mobility Scheme BSO Fellow at UNISCO, Bari, Italy (administered by Eurochambres, 1-30 June 2023).

Awards:“Seal of Excellence” Certificate, European Commission, 2017; Certificates “For Excellence in Research” from the Institute of Philosophy of the National Academy of Sciences of Ukraine, 2017 & Section of History, Philosophy and Law of the National Academy of Sciences of Ukraine, 2018; Executive Board of the National Academy of Sciences, 2021 .
